Rooted in Progress

Although TPPI is firmly progressive in its values, we do not endorse individual candidates. Instead, we focus on helping leaders understand the concerns, priorities, and lived experiences of African American Texans so they can engage more effectively and serve their communities with integrity.

What We Oppose

We oppose policies and platforms that seek to roll back rights or restrict the freedoms of any group. We are guided by principles of respect, honesty, and service to the public good. These commitments shape every consultation, every training, and every resource we provide.

Our Structure

The Texas Progressive Policy Institute operates as a civic engagement and Communications consultancy focused on advancing progressive values that strengthen communities and protect civil and human rights.

While we do not endorse individual candidates, we support leaders who are committed to inclusive policies and meaningful engagement with African American Texans.

Support for Public Leaders
Who Want to Lead With Understanding

The TPPI is a resource for candidates, elected officials, government staff, and civic leaders across the state. We help leaders navigate cultural contexts, understand community concerns, and develop strategies that support meaningful engagement. Effective leadership requires more than policy knowledge. It requires the ability to listen, connect, and respond to the lived experiences of real people.

Insight and Guidance for Real-World Leadership

Our work focuses on practical solutions and culturally grounded insights that help leaders avoid misunderstandings, strengthen outreach efforts, and build trust within African American communities.
